e-GP Workshops

Mandatory Implementation of the Electronic Government Procurement (e-GP) System

About the e-GP Workshops

The Government of Kenya, through the Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Act (PPADA), 2015, the Public Finance Management Act, and various circulars from the National Treasury, has mandated the transition of procurement processes to the Electronic Government Procurement (e-GP) system.

These legislative frameworks and directives from His Excellency the President and the Cabinet Secretary for the National Treasury reinforce the urgent and full adoption of e-GP as part of the government's digital transformation and accountability agenda. All Ministries, Departments, Agencies (MDAs), County Governments, and Independent Commissions are legally bound to comply.

Our Role in Supporting This Transition

At the Technology Advocacy Centre (TAC), we offer specialized workshops aimed at providing comprehensive guidance on the implementation of the e-GP system. Our sessions focus on helping government entities comply with the legal framework, clarify compliance obligations, and establish accountability mechanisms that will ensure seamless rollout across all sectors.

What We Cover in Our Workshops

  • Introduction to the e-GP system and its legislative background.
  • Step-by-step implementation processes for government entities.
  • Clarification of compliance obligations for Ministries, Agencies, and County Governments.
  • Establishment of accountability mechanisms to ensure a smooth transition.
  • Training on using e-GP software and systems for effective procurement processes.
